espanolIntroduccion: la lesion yatrogenica de la via biliar (LYVB) es una complicacion con elevada morbilidad tras la colecistectomia. En los ultimos anos la endoscopia ha adquirido un papel fundamental en el manejo de esta patologia. Metodos: estudio retrospectivo de LYVB tras colecistectomia abierta (CA) o colecistectomia laparoscopica (CL) tratadas en nuestro centro entre 1993 y 2017. Acute pancreatitis constitutes one of the most hazardous emergencies in clinical gastroenterology. Although the diagnosis “biliary pancreatitis” is often used in clinical practice for patients presenting with concrements in the biliary tree or impacted in the papillary orifice [17, 32], the common phrase “biliary pancreatitis” has not so far been exactly defined. Patients with cholecystolithiasis may be included in this group, as well as patients with dysfunction of the sphincter of Oddi. Some authors have reported that juxtapapillary diverticula increase the risk for development of biliary pancreatitis [28].

Introducción La colecistitis, una enfermedad resultante de las complicaciones de la colelitiasis, puede ocurrir en dos maneras: aguda o crónica. La colecistitis aguda requiere un tratamiento urgente, normalmente con antibióticos seguidos de colecistectomía. Si la colecistectomía urgente no puede realizarse, la operación puede diferirse hasta que esté resuelto el episodio agudo y realizarse entonces de manera electiva (1).
